Texans defensive end, Anthony Weaver writes a blog on the HoustonTexans.com website (blog requires registration). In his August 24th post, Weaver says that defensive coordinator, Richard Smith put pictures of rocks in all the defensive players lockers to symbolize that they should be strong, steady and cohesive. Weaver compared it to creating a foundation.

I appreciate symbolism more than most, but pictures of rocks? Gifts of rocks in our society, unless they are of the gemological variety, tend to symbolize utter disdain or being bad.

Maybe he put pictures of rocks in the lockers instead of actual rocks so ran the risk of injury. Jaguar Coach, Jack Del Rio's experience in this regard is instructional on how motivational goofiness can go terribly wrong.

Are all NFL coaches such big cheeseballs?
