11:39- It's halftime right now, and I just can't put away that horrible sweep play Navy ran on first and goal. Hampton didn't even look at the slotback! If you want a prediction for the second half I'll tell you straight-up. I think Stanford wins it by three.
11:49- Harris said his defense did a good job "stopping" Navy on the goaline. Oh really? Navy stopped themselves.
11:54- It too me awhile to figure out that Bill Walsh was doing the commentary. He whines too much, and keeps making mention of all the holding and clipping being done by Navy.
11:57- Touchdown Navy! Campbell goes in on an option run with a good pitch by Hampton. Navy leads 17-3. I was just kidding about Navy losing too, I didn't realize we got the ball first in the second half. Army still down by a touchdown...
12:04-Welcome to tomorrow. It's just occurred to me how good Navy's rush defense is. The fact that they can hold against a depleted Stanford receiving corps 1/3 of the time is o.. for my money too.
12:16- Joey Bullen just hit a 39 yard field-goal, giving Navy a 20-3 lead near the end of the 3rd quarter. Stanford's defense looks tired, so hopefully even if Edwards can lead the Cardinal to a score, Navy's offense can role.
12:21- Navy scored, again. This time after a fumble recovery on the kickoff, which was proceeded by a Brian Hampton touchdown run. Bill Walsh still refusing to give the Mids any credit whatsoever.
12:28- The announcer just made reference to the song "Feels like the First Time," for the opening of Stanford's new stadium. He then proceeded to say, "the first time hurts." Awkward silence ensues.
12:30- Injury timeout for Stanford. The Cardinal looks like it will score on this possession, but with 14:00 left I don't now how much good it will do. Let's keep trusting in Johnson to finish this one out.
12:37- Stanford scores with about 12:00 left to go in the game, but misses the PAT. The Navy lead is now at 18.
12:43- Bulldozer Ballard leading the way for Navy, eating up the clock in the process...
12:47- Touchdown Navy! Campbell takes it to the house to put Navy up 35-9. I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN
12:55- Kaipo and the backups are in.
1:01- I think PJ just cracked a smile. No wait, nevermind. It's 37-9 Navy.
1:06- Game over. I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got to get up in six hours for church. Tune in tomorrow for post-game coverage.
