Kearse Injury The Real Deal: Out for Season

It seems like over the past two seasons, Jevon Kearse gets banged up in every game. You see him grimacing in pain on the sidelines one minute and back in the game the next. He won't be running back out onto the field for the Eagles this time. This isn't one he can just shake off.

Kearse hurt all sorts of ligaments and such:
The injury includes sprains of the medial collateral ligament, the lateral collateral ligament, and the posterior cruciate ligament. Treatment options have yet to be determined, though surgery is likely.
The fact that this injury happened in overtime really makes you shake your head. This game never should have gone to extra time. The Eagles should have been able to close this one out.

What will Kearse's injury mean for the Birds? Who knows for sure, but the great depth they had at defensive line just took a big hit. Eagles fans can only hope the loss of Kearse for the season isn't a sign of the injury bug attacking the Eagles like it did last year. It's a shame we've never really gotten a chance to see the Freak we all hoped we'd get when we gave Kearse that big contract 2 offseasons ago.
