It's been a few days since the pathetic let down the Eagles gave us against the Giants. I'd like to comment one last time and then not discuss this game ever. The thing that bothers me the most about the loss is the fact that they allowed the Giants to come back from such a huge deficit and defeat you on your own turf. It's a boost for the rival Giants more than it's deflating for the Eagles. It gives them confidence that they are the team to beat in the East.
Eli performed well, but I'd still rather have number five than any of the QBs in our division. I'm not as upset about the game as others because it's a meaningless game if the Birds can play the way they performed early on in the Giant game.
If I had to point the blame at one person for this loss it'd have to be Andy Reid. He has to be able to come up with a game plan when you're up 24-7 to hold onto a win.
I'm not going to take this one too roughly. It's one horrible loss, but it's not the end of the season. Sure losing Jevon Kearse will be a big blow, but I think Trent Cole, despite his costly penalty which helped the Giants win, will step in and become a star.
The Birds are only 1-1. The season is young with 14 games left. They've got the Niners and Packers coming up. If they aren't 3-1 after week four I'll be a bit shocked.
