What's worse than a Lincoln Financial telecast? How about a CBS telecast that starts at 11:00 a.m. CST? CBS announced Monday that it's carrying Auburn's October 7th contest with Arkansas from Jordan-Hare Stadium. For those of you without tickets, that probably means you will be entertained tortured again by the network's second string play-by-play man, Craig Bolerjack. That should drive the price of tickets up another $20.

Here's the official announcement from Auburn University...

Sept. 25, 2006

Auburn, Ala. - Auburn's football game against Arkansas on October 7 at Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium will be televised by CBS Sports. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT.

It will mark the Tigers' fifth televised game this season and second by CBS. CBS aired Auburn's 7-3 win over LSU on Sept. 16.

Auburn is 20-19 all-time on CBS, having won seven consecutive on the network. CBS has televised 10 Tiger games since 2003.

Auburn (4-0, 2-0 SEC) plays at South Carolina (3-1, 1-1 SEC) this Thursday at 6:45 p.m. CT at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. The game will air on ESPN.
