Sunday's Eagles game provided us with two of the more memorable plays of this young season. The first was a 71-yard scamper by Brian Westbrook and also Mike Paterson's incredible 98-yard fumble recovery. Here are videos of the two plays with Mike Quick and Merrill Reese giving the commentary.

The Birds put up a hell of a goal line stand when the Niners had the ball first and one from the one yard line. After two huge stops, Brian Dawkins drilled Frank Gore at the goal line causing the ball to pop loose. It seemed as if they play was over, but big lineman Mike Paterson picks up the ball and runs 98 yards for a touchdown! For a huge dude, Paterson looked rather swift on his feet. The 98-yard return is the longest fumble return in Eagles history.

Brian Westbrook had "a phenomenal 71-yard TD run in which he embarrassed Niner safety Mike Adams. Westbrook was running neck and neck with Adams in the open field when Westy gave an absolutely nasty stiff arm and told Adams to go look for a job in the CFL."
