Apparently Josh Brown is only a clutch player on the gridiron. In a recent interview with Yahoo! Sports, quarterback Matt Hasselbeck revealed that he attended a Carrie Underwood concert in training camp because the Seahawks' kicker needed a wingman to approach the American Idol country starlet (who, it should be noted, sang the National Anthem before the 'Hawks victory in the NFC Championship). Hasselbeck noted that things between the two seemed to go well:
We end up getting backstage and he got a chance to talk to her. They're both from Oklahoma, so they seemed to hit it off. She grew up a Cowboys fan, but I think she was a little more of a Seahawks fan by the end of the conversation. I think Josh won her over. But then she played in Puyallup and he chickened out and didn't go and I don't think he called her. I don't know what happened there, but I definitely want to know.
Uh, yeah, you and me and everybody else wants to know, too. I know he played the Cowboys card smoothly: Oh, you like the Cowboys? Yeah, I guess they're good. Of course, I beat them by kicking a 50-yarder as time expired last year. And you figure a kicker has got to have all sorts of pickup lines about splitting the uprights. Seriously, this is potentially the feel-good story of the year for the NFL. Everyone knows quarterbacks always get the hot famous chicks, but a kicker? A balding kicker? Heck yeah! Give some hope to the common folk!

This is a message for Josh Brown: SACK UP AND CALL THE GIRL. Otherwise, you will have put Matt through all sorts of needless pain:
The defensive linemen got on me pretty good about that. It's a little unusual for two dudes to go to a Carrie Underwood concert.
Wait, so he's saying you shouldn't go to an American Idol's concert with another guy? But Bruce and I have tickets to Clay Aiken!
