Auburn Tigers Remain Second In AP Poll. Writers Have Style (Points)

Auburn remains second in this week's AP Poll, voted on by the nation's media. Writers don't always have a lot of style and they chose not to hold that against Auburn this week. Traveling to Columbia, South Carolina on Thursday night and coming away with a 24-17 win over Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks was enough to keep the Tigers ranked second nationally.

Ohio State remains the number one team, after defeating Iowa 38-17. USC stays at number three after its 28-22 win over Washington State. Yeah, that's the same team the Tigers beat 40-14 last month. Somebody call USA Today and let them know. They obviously didn't get the memo.

Auburn takes on Arkansas this Saturday from Pat Dye Field at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon eastern and will be televised by CBS Sports. Arkansas comes into the contest 3-1overall, and 2-0 in SEC play. They were off this past weekend.
