I'm sorry, but the idea of former Oilers being honored in front of mostly people who never rooted for them is just sort of vomity to me. It's odd to have a Titan Hall of Fame that includes Elvin Bethea, a Oiler player that most of the Titans fanbase wouldn't know one lick about.
It's beyond suck that Bud Adams stole Houston's team, but he added insult to injury by stealing its heritage too. Great, a bunch of Titans fans got to honor someone they never rooted for: "Woohoo, no bathroom line!"
The AP story of the event contains this beauty quote of Bud Adams:
"He spoiled us, I tell you. We won many games because of Warren Moon. The biggest mistake I made was trading him after 10 years."
Oh really, are you sure that's your biggest mistake? How about the way that you kicked Steve McNair to the curb? The only quarterback that has ever taken your team to the Super Bowl, and you wouldn't have contract talks with him, you had an underling lock him out of the training facility in the offseason, and then you took your sweet time before you allowed him to go to a team who actually valued him. I guess the Ravens feel pretty good about your non-mistake with McNair.
Actually I can think of tons of Bud Adams mistakes, as my regard for that man is a little less than Brown fans' regard for Art Modell.
And, by the way, Earl isn't a Titan either.
(Sorry, just a minor bye week rant, move along now).
