Bills at Bears: Five Questions for the Enemy

A tough opponent awaits this week, as the Bills travel to Chicago to face the 4-0 Bears. At the invitation of the Bears FanHouse blogger, David Wallmark, we each traded five questions (to see how I answered his questions on the Bills, check out his blog at http://bears.aolsportsblog.com/

The Bears just waxed Seattle, and now they are the "team to beat" in the NFC. Bears fans seem to be penning this as a "W" right now. Read the Q & A yourself. I think it is just fine that the Bills are flying under the radar. Let Bears fans think this another cakewalk.

I am not saying this is an upset, but the Bills will show up this week. Unlike Seattle.

5 questions for the enemy:

1. OK, what is getting more talk amongst Bears fans this week? T.O.'s return to Philly, or Dick Jauron's return to Chicago?

Bears fans don't give a rats ar$e about Terrell Owens. Dick Jauron's return to Chicago is mentionable, but the only thing we're focused on is beating the Bills.

2. Why did Jauron get run out of Chicago? He went 13-3 without a good quarterback, and in the subsequent losing years, there wasn't much talent in Chicago. What happened?

I honestly think Jauron is a great guy. A good players coach who is highly respected. We all know that 13-3 team overachieved. I think he was fired for his unwillingness to fire OC John Shoop. Shoop's dink and dunk (dud) offense just got old.

3. After clobbering the Seahawks, are Bears fans making Super Bowl reservations?

I don't know if we are making reservations but you can bet your last dollar we are saving money in case we have to make a trip to Miami in the beginning of '07. It's a long season, and despite being 4-0, there is a lot of work to accomplish. That said, if the Bears stay healthy, I don't think there is a team in the NFC that can come to Chicago and beat us.

4. Finish this sentence: The Bears lose to the Bills, if...

The team bus gets hit by a train on the way to the game.

5. What's the view from Chicago on the Bills? Are the Bills a run-of-the-mill .500 team, or a team that could develop into a contender?

The Bills are a run-of-the-mill .500 team with a lot of upset potential. Although in a my personal opinion, they are only a few key players and a year of experience away from being contenders. they have lots of talents all around the team, including linebackers, running back and wide receiver.
