Art Shell is going to run out of wide receivers to alienate. Randy Moss was again a guest on "The Drive with Chris Myers and Sean Farnham on Fox Sports Radio," and he said some things that spell out pretty clearly that he's not happy being an Oakland Raider.
I guess this doesn't really qualify as news. Real news would be if anyone on the Raiders roster spoke up and said, "Yeah, I really like being here. Things are great." I don't imagine anyone on the roster is particularly happy about being a Raider right now. But here Moss's quotes, courtesy of BenMaller.com.
When asked how he's dealing with the team being winless:
"I'm doing good man, I'm not even that too concerned with football right now. I'm just loving life."Avoidance therapy. Good idea. When asked if he'd like to play somewhere else:
"The way it seems; I'm not the only one unhappy around here. If me moving elsewhere is what my future holds then I'm ready to see it."Noted. So would he welcome a trade?
"I don't want to be the downfall, or the negative or the cancer of the team. That's definitely not my goal to do. If they feel trading me and getting me out is the best thing to do, I've been traded once, two won't hurt."Not real difficult to read between the lines there. Randy Moss doesn't want to make waves, but Randy Moss doesn't want to be a Raider. On the year, Moss has seven catches for 84 yards. Randy Moss used to get that in a half. Honestly, of all the pathetic Raiders stats you could pull out, that one might be the worst. A man of that talent having 84 yards through three games should make the Raiders coaching staff absolutely ashamed of themselves.
