Jeff Fisher says he expects his backfield in the upcoming Redskins game will look a lot like it did for the Colts game: heavy doses of Travis Henry and LenDale White. This of course leaves Chris Brown as the odd-man out, a role it seems like he's been filling since he was drafted.
And The Tennessean speculates today that this might cause Chris Brown to once again push for a trade. Brown asked the Titans to trade him before the season, and they didn't. It makes sense to think that if the Titans keep deactivating him, week after week, that he'll seek to be traded again. His agent had this to say:
"Our perspective on it is we pushed for a trade before the year, and we thought it made a lot of sense. But it didn't happen and I'm not sure things would be different if we pushed for it again. Obviously we want Chris to play. We think he is a great player. But we can't make (General Manager) Floyd Reese pull the trigger."I could be wrong about this, but my guess is that Floyd Reese isn't getting a ton of great offers for Chris Brown right now, nor did he get any before the season. Chris Brown is not exactly the hottest property on the market. Right now, if LaDainian Tomlinson and Larry Johnson are Boardwalk and Park Place, then Chris Brown is one of the light blue ones. He's not as bad as Baltic or Mediterranean, but at the moment, Oriental Avenue seems to fit him about right.
