Auburn Alums Have Solid Week In The NFL

Former Auburn running back Carnell Williams had his best day of the season this week, rushing for 111 yards on 20 carries in Tampa Bay's 24-21 loss to New Orleans. Williams has struggled this year along with his team. Sunday's performance was his first 100 yard game of the season. His counterpart at Auburn also is struggling. Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown picked up only 39 yards on 17 carries in a loss to New England. On a bright note, Brown did score his third touchdown of the season.

On the defensive side of the ball, former Tiger and current Arizona Cardinal Karlos Dansby had a big day Sunday, collecting a team high nine tackles and two sacks in a 23-20 loss to Kansas City. Willie Anderson, OT - Cincinnati Bengals
Anderson and the Bengals were off in Week Five. Last week, he extended his team record in consecutive starts to 100, as he started at right tackle in a 38-13 loss to New England. Anderson, who is in his 11^th season, helped pave the way for the Bengals' running backs to run for 71 yards and one touchdown against the Patriots.

Rob Bironas, K - Tennessee Titans
Bironas notched field goals of 22 and 47 yards as well as an extra-point in the Titans' 14-13 loss to Indianapolis. Is now 5-for-5 on the season in field goals.

Ronnie Brown, RB - Miami Dolphins
Brown had 39 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 20-10 loss to New England. Brown leads Miami in rushing with 278 yards and three scores in five games this season.

Jason Campbell, QB - Washington Redskins
Campbell was not active for Washington's 19-3 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. He is in his second season with the Redskins.

Tim Carter, WR - New York Giants
Carter started in the Giants' 19-3 win over Washington and had four catches for 44 yards. He has eight catches for 109 yards and two scores (one receiving) this season.

Karlos Dansby, LB - Arizona Cardinals
Dansby recorded a team-high nine tackles and two sacks in a 23-20 loss to Kansas City. Dansby is in his third season in the NFL.

Stephen Davis, RB - St. Louis Rams
Davis had four rushing yards on three carries to go with 10 yards receiving in the Rams' 23-20 win over Green Bay. He is in his first season with the Rams after spending the past 10 seasons in Carolina. Davis is the Panthers' all-time leader with 20 rushing touchdowns and stands second with 522 rushing attempts and 2,085 rushing yards.

Heath Evans, FB - New England Patriots
Evans had 11 receiving yards and helped lead the way for Patriots' running backs to rush for 79 yards in a 23-20 win over Miami. He is in his sixth year in the league.

Wayne Gandy, T - Atlanta Falcons
Gandy and the Falcons were off in Week Five. Atlanta rushed for 262 yards with one score last week and is averaging a league-leading 234 yards/game in 2006. The Falcons have rushed for over 100 yards in each of their four games this season, including over 250 in three of them. As he begins his 13^th season, Gandy has played in 195 of a potential 196 NFL games, starting 188 of those contests.

Chris Gray, G - Seattle Seahawks
Gray and the Seahawks were off in Week Five after a 37-6 loss to Chicago last week. Seattle rushed for 77 yards on the day. Gray's starting streak is at 113 straight games and dates back to the final 10 games of the 1999 season.

Roderick Hood, CB - Philadelphia Eagles
Hood was not active for the Eagles' 38-24 win over Dallas with a heel injury. Hood is in his fourth year in the NFL.

T.J. Jackson, DT - Atlanta Falcons
Jackson is in his first season with the Falcons as a member of the practice squad.

Brandon Jacobs, RB - New York Giants
Jacobs rushed for 26 yards and had 15 yards receiving in the Giants' 19-3 win over Washington. Jacobs, in his second NFL season, is averaging 5.4 yards/carry in 2006.

Jeno James, G - Miami Dolphins
James started at left guard in the Dolphins' 20-10 loss to New England. The Dolphins rushed for 62 yards and a score in the loss. This is James' seventh season in the league, and third in Miami.

Rudi Johnson, RB - Cincinnati Bengals
Johnson and the Bengals were off in Week Five. He carried the ball 14 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati's 38-13 loss to New England last week. He ranks fourth in the AFC in total rushing yards with 353 after five weeks.

Spencer Johnson, DT - Minnesota Vikings
Johnson had one tackle in a 26-17 win over Detroit. He is in his third season after coming into the league with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2004.

Stanley McClover, DE - Carolina Panthers
McClover was not active for Carolina's 20-12 win over Cleveland. He is in his first NFL season after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Panthers.

Marcus McNeill, OT - San Diego Chargers
McNneill started at left tackle in the team's 23-13 win over Pittsburgh where the Chargers rushed for 119 yards on 31 carries. McNeill was named AFC Offensive Rookie of the Month for September and is in his first NFL season after being drafted in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Chargers.

Anthony Mix, WR - New York Giants
Mix is in his first NFL season as a member of the Giants' practice squad.

Ben Obomanu, WR - Seattle Seahawks
Obomanu is in his first NFL season as a member of the Seahawks' practice squad. He was a seventh round draft pick by Seattle in 2006.

Mike Pucillo, C - Washington Redskins
Pucillo did not play in the Redskins' 19-3 loss to the New York Giants. Pucillo has played in 25 career games, starting 18.

Jay Ratliff, DE - Dallas Cowboys
Ratliff recorded three tackles and half sack in the team's 38-24 loss to Philadelphia. He has six tackles and two and a half sacks in 2006 after recording four tackles and one sack in four games last season.

Tony Richardson, FB - Minnesota Vikings
Richardson had 18 yards receiving in the Vikings' 26-17 win over Detroit. The team rushed for 135 yards in the game. This marks Richardson's 13^th season in the league and third different team after spending the last 11 seasons with Kansas City and coming into the league with Dallas.

Carlos Rogers, CB - Washington Redskins
Rogers started at right cornerback for the Redskins and recorded seven tackles in Washington's 19-3 loss to the New York Giants. Last season, Rogers has 30 tackles this season after compiling 46 tackles and two interceptions in 12 games with Washington in 2005.

Kendall Simmons, G - Pittsburgh Steelers
Simmons started at right guard in the Steelers' 23-13 loss to San Diego. The Steelers rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown in the loss. Simmons has started in all 50 games in which he has played since he came into the league in 2002.

Takeo Spikes, OLB - Buffalo Bills
Spikes was not active for the Bills' 40-7 loss to Chicago on Sunday. He has started in all 115 games he has played in as he is in his ninth season.

Dontarrious Thomas, LB - Minnesota Vikings
Thomas notched one special teams' tackle in the Vikings' 26-17 win over Detroit. He finished last year with 36 tackles and has 10 in 2006, his third season in the league.

Reggie Torbor, LB - New York Giants
Torbor and assisted on a special teams tackle in the Giants' 19-3 win over Washington. He started nine games at SAM linebacker last season, finishing with 34 tackles and one interception. He is in his third season with the Giants.

Cooper Wallace, TE - Tennessee Titans
Wallace is in his first NFL season as a member of the Titans' practice squad.

Marcus Washington, LB - Washington Redskins
Washington had six tackles and a pass deflection as the starting SAM Linebacker in the Redskins' 19-3 loss to the New York Giants.

Willie Whitehead, DT - New Orleans Saints
Whitehead played was not active in the Saints' 24-21 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Carnell Williams, RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams rushed for 111 yards on 20 carries in the Bucs' 24-21 loss to New Orleans on Sunday. He has 218 yards and a touchdown in four games this season. Williams finished with 1,178 yards and six touchdowns on 290 carries last season to finish 13th in the league and tops among rookies, earning him the 2005 Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, along with NFL Rookie of the Year by the PFWA in 2005. He was also named Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press.
