Eagles fans aren't always all they're made out to be. A group of Eagles fans who call themselves The Green Legion teamed up with a number of Saints fans this week to help clean up some of the battered areas in New Orleans.
Chenosky and local organizer Susan Henry said more than 200 people showed up for the cleanup, roughly half from each city. The Eagles fans were among 500 who traveled from Philadelphia, Chenosky said. So many people worked so hard that the 300 bags local Henry had brought turned out to be too few. A neighborhood store sold them bags even bigger than contractors' bags, Henry said.
Score one for good fans -- cleaning up so much that you run out of bags to fill.

I surfed over to the Green Legion's website and it seems like they travel to most of the Eagles away games. They even made it all the way across the country for the 49ers game. Eagles fans have a reputation as being one of the most well traveled fan bases in the NFL. Glad to see these Birds fans helping the cause.

Just in case I don't get a chance to write a pregame post, I'm going with the Birds avoiding a let down game. Eagles 34 Saints 24
