I wonder if Edgerrin James still thinks he should get the ball more often. Let's face it, we all thought James was better than he was in Indianapolis because we always saw him running against defenses that were mostly concerned about stopping Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison. Over the course of his career, James has probably had to face eight in the box fewer times than any running back in the NFL. Now that he's actually being treated like most NFL running backs, he's awful.Yesterday, as the Cardinals lost to the pathetic Oakland Raiders, James carried 13 times for 34 yards. That brings him to a total of 161 carries for 432 yards on the season. He's not even close to averaging three yards a carry on the year. That, folks, is terrible. Yes, the Cardinals' offensive line is a mess, but part of the reason the Cardinals didn't spend big money on better offensive linemen is that they're paying James nearly $15 million this season. James is getting paid like a star and producing like a scrub.
