UConn Fans Lead the Nation in Scullduggery

Friday night in East Hartford, a UConn fan stole the Coonskin hat off of West Virginia mascot Brady Campbell's head. The fan was later arrested and the hat was returned to Campbell. There have been many instances were opposing fans have tried to steal the hat off the Mountaineer mascot. Some schools like Pitt make an attempt every other year. However, they are very seldom successful.
Particularly in Pittsburgh, fraternities and their pledges challenge each other to steal the Mountaineer's hat according to Campbell. And, occasionally, they have been successful. In fact, one time it took the WVU football team's help to foil a potential thief's exodus through a parking lot with hat in hand. Ironically, like Dave Wannstedt said a year ago on national television, the Panthers were just not fast enough.
The only sad news in this story is that UConn does not have anything worth stealing for our students. They went with the human in a Husky suit in 1964, and there is nothing worth stealing in that suit. I guess we'll just have to keep on beating them in front of a national audience every year, and doing stuff like this.
