Um... the latest in what's sure to be a torrent of AP articles about the upcoming Michigan-OSU game certainly has a vivid lead:
After lying on the floor while bullets tore through his home during the Romanian revolution, standing alone in the backfield with would-be punt blockers bearing down on him isn't all that intimidating to Zoltan Mesko.
This might be overstating things a tad, since Zoltan was three when the bullets that would eventually find their way into Nicolae Ceausescu's head started flying. But never get a good bullet-related lead get away, that's what I say. Yessir. The Detroit News has even more Zoltan:
"I watched the (Chicago) Bulls in '97, and I didn't know what they were talking about," Mesko said, laughing at the memory. "They were beating up on the Jazz that year. I remember watching a TV station in Spanish for 30 minutes, and I thought it was English. I didn't know."
Zoltan probably tuned into Univision for the World Cup, too... because lord knows whatever Marcelo Balboa was speaking wasn't English.
