It was another beautiful day in the upstate of South Carolina this Saturday as Clemson took on the Wolfpack.
There was not a capacity crowd in the stadium, but there we plenty of fans enjoying the tailgating atmosphere around Death Valley in the hours both before and after the game.
Here's just a little of what the average Tiger fan might have experienced on game day:
Traffic laws require that objects hanging out of truck beds be marked with a red flag. Well, we couldn't find a red flag so we used some duct tape and a Clemson flag. For those that are wondering, the flag didn't make it the entire trip. Apparently traveling 60 mph on the highway can generate enough force to obliterate duct tape. Who knew?

No proper tailgate is complete without a satellite dish attached to a 10 foot fence post.

I don't even know what to say about this one ...

It was Military Appreciation Day, so there were plenty of uniforms, a nice halftime tribute, and a jaw-dropping, concrete-shaking, loud-as-hell F-16 flyover courtesy of Shaw Air Force base. The parade into the stadium featured a crowd of vets led by this banner:

Obligatory picture of some purty ladies:

Pregame festivities include a whole bunch of flags. The flag guys discriminate against the North Stands, but that's okay ... as long as the guys in the press box can read it. Notice Clemson is not spelled with a P or a Z.

Mmmmm ... Oysters. Oh. Wait. I don't like oysters. Well, somebody ate them. Tailgating doesn't have to be relegated to a pre-game experience. These were cooked and enjoyed after the game.

So there you have it. The Clemson tailgating experience as brought to you by a man with a camera.
The University of South Carolina comes to town next, you can bet I'll be there with camera in hand to capture the spectacle.
