McNabb to Miss Remainder of Season with Torn ACL
Horrible news coming out of Andy Reid's press conference: Donovan McNabb tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
The loss of McNabb is likely the last blow the Birds could take this season. A very disappointing loss to the Titans today showed that the Eagles are simply not a great team. Mathematically the Birds are far from eliminated from the playoffs, but with Jeff Garcia or A.J. Feeley running the offense, the season is looking bleak.
Donte Stallworth is the only Eagles receiver who has been fairly consistent this season and he has missed significant playing time due to nagging hamstring injuries. The repeatedly dropped passes today showed Reggie Brown, Hank Baskett, Greg Lewis, and L.J. Smith are not the kind of guys who are going to carry your team.
Eagles fans had their chests puffed out after beating the lowly Washington Redskins last week. With the loss of Donovan McNabb for the season, Philly fans will go into depression mode until training camp begins next summer.
