How ironic is it that the week the 49ers travel to St Louis to take on the Rams, a 49ers player gets busted for drunk driving. A week when the 49ers should be focused on the Rams and their fourth straight victory, receiver Antonio Bryant had to go and do something stupid. Bryant was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence and resisting arrest. Bryant was seen traveling over 100 mph in his Lamborghini.
Reports are Bryant showed signs and symptoms of being drunk, and he was uncooperative and even refused to step out of the car. The officers were then forced to use leather restraints on Bryant. The 49ers had no comment on the situation at this time.
I'm not sure but maybe Bryant felt since he was playing against the Rams and Leonard Little would be there he was trying to one up him. Who knows, but this can't sit well with the 49ers.
