Mike Imoh's unusual last name has a remarkably appropriate pronunciation, considering most people associate the musical genre of "emo" with the creepy manipulation of teenage girls. While Marcus Vick got most of the press, Imoh was also in on the, ahem, "slumber party" that would seriously jeopardize the Hokies' 2004 season. Until Frank Beamer decided it wouldn't. Take it away, Tech Sideline...According to the testimony of the 14-year-old, who is now 15, the players gave the girls shots of vodka and asked them to strip and kiss. All three girls undressed and gave the players lap dances. She said that later one of the 15-year-olds then had sex with Imoh and (Brendan) Hill, while the other 15-year-old went back in the bedroom and had sex with Vick.
Oh, and apparently there were pictures. Imoh ended up being convicted for three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor (stop me if you think you've heard this one before). He was also sentenced to jail time (going to Virginia Tech didn't count as incarceration, oddly enough) and a fine. Using typically Beamer-ish discipline, Vick ended up being suspended for the season...conveniently in a year where he was figured to be the backup quarterback. On the other hand, Mike Imoh was suspended for three games before his services were needed against archrival West Virginia.
