In a Monday interview on WFAN Giants Defensive End Michael Strahan made some irrelevant comments about Plaxico Burress giving up on "the play" against the Titans. The tone and comment was not necessarily aimed in a negative way at Burress,iInstead it was aimed at the entire team in a way to remind them about not giving up. However the media being the media took the comment and ran with it. ESPN sports anchor Kelly Naqi read the quote to Plaxico Burress today during an open locker room session and apparently it was the first time Burress heard the comment. In his reply Burress, who was clearly annoyed, said he would not get into a war of words with his teammates via the media and stated he would talk to Strahan.

About a half an hour later after Burress had a chance to sit down with Strahan, Strahan came out to address the media. In what can only be described as extremely upset and tasteless tirade, laid into both ESPN and WFAN reporters. He went as far as to call out Kelly Naqi and demand she look him in the eyes as he told her to start acting more like a professional.

He continued saying that he knows only negativity sells papers when teams are losing and that most of the news and articles written are "bulls--t." He also accused the media of making up stories and trying to divide the locker room. At the end of his "lashing out" he said he and the Giants are men and despite their [the media] best efforts, they would not divide the Giants players.
