Rex Grossman Has a Potty Mouth

Rex Grossman, according to Vikings safety Darren Sharper, set the all-time standard for profane and vulgar trash talk during the last Vikings/Bears game. Grossman threw a touchdown pass (back when he was in the habit of doing that) to take the lead late in the game, and then unleasehed a fountain of foul-mouthed invective.

Sharper said of the outburst, "I've never had a quarterback say the things he said, and I've been playing 10 years." Here's more from this article from StarTribune.com:
Grossman wouldn't say what he said. During the conference call, Sharper would only say that it was "X-rated." Later, at Winter Park, he said Grossman "was kind of just beating his chest and talking trash. This and that. 'You guys are this,' whatever, whatever. Some curse words, stuff like that. He might have been caught up in the moment.
Grossman quickly blamed Veronica Corningstone for messing with the teleprompter.

I, for one, am glad to that Rex Grossman is capable of such things. If I had to guess at which quarterback in the league that was capable of the best trash talk, Grossman would've been near last on the list. I'd have Vick, Favre, Plummer, maybe Leinart, and possibly J.P. Losman. Grossman always struck me as the kind of guy who would throw a touchdown pass and then apologize to the defensive back.

The two teams play again this Sunday in Chicago.
