Gongshow Vs. Hibachi

Tonight in Washington we have the Mavs coming to town to face the Wizards. Dallas is the hottest team in the league, winners of 12 straight, while Arenas averages 33 points per game at home where the Wizards are 6-2. Caron Butler says a win against Dallas "could change our season," but that's going to be tough considering the Mavs are averaging 115 points per game in their last five against Washington.

More importantly, this game features the battle of two of the wackier superstars in the league and their comical catch phrases. In one corner, we have Dirk Nowitzki, who famously dropped a "gongshow!" at the end of a downloadable ringtone recording. In the other corner, we have Gilbert Arenas running "hibachi!" smack on the court in a recent game against Charlotte.

Both of these players are doing their best to add a personal touch to their day-to-day activities, and both are doing it with some verbage that's definitely a little out there. "What the hell does that mean?" definitely comes to mind when first hearing each players' remarks. While Dirk's came in a mandatory team ringtone recording session, Gilbert's exploits were going on during an actual NBA game. Since Arenas was shouting before shooting, he gets bonus points for degree of difficulty. I'm going with "hibachi" as the winner here, but look for Dirk and the rest of the Mavs to go "gongshow" on the court tonight and get the W over the Wiz.
