The Allen Iverson Trade Watch is intensifying. First comes this report from the Associated Press indicating that Iverson's locker in the Sixers' locker room has been cleaned out and that his nameplate above the locker has been removed. In case you had any doubts that his days in Philly were over, doubt no more.

"We want it to be over. We just want to move on," teammate (for now) Kyle Korver said. "Obviously now Allen is probably going to be traded, or is going to be traded, so we just want to move on and not have to have long interviews after shootaround."

ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan is now reporting that the Sixers are looking to deal the 11 year vet by either tonight or tomorrow at the very latest. Philly's braintrust met Sunday to explore their options, and are looking to make a move sooner rather than later. It has also been widely reported that the Celtics, Mavs and Knicks have the best chance of getting A.I. Just to be difficult and to mess with everyone's mindscapes, Phil Jackson implied that the Lakers might also be interested in The Answer.

Personally, nothing would make me happier than seeing Iverson on Broadway. The Knicks would once again become relevant; I miss seeing a raucous Madison Square Garden; and anytime two emotionally combustible individuals like Iverson and Isiah Thomas have to co-exist for a prolonged stretch of time, the potential for hilarity is simply off the charts. Let's make this happen, Knicks!
