No he didn't throw him under Jerome Bettis.

Rookie tight end Vernon Davis said some things in relation to Smith's performance after Sunday's loss to the Packers. In particular, Smith's first interception, where Davis was wide open on a key third down.
"I did what I'm supposed to do: Sell the run, take off and get into the wide corner," Davis said. "I was open. Did you see that? He should have thrown it quicker and a little over the top."
I say good for him. I'm sure I'm in the minority here and most 49er fans feel it should have been done behind closed doors, but maybe this will light a fire under Smith's ass. It's about time someone on this team voices their opinion. That is one problem with this team, it seems as if hey are afraid to say what's on their mind. Of course, I thought it would be Antonio Bryant and not Davis to call out Smith, but again glad someone did it. A little late, but better than never.
