With Hannukah starting tonight, and Christmas just around the corner, it's time for the celebration for everyone else ... a Festivus for the rest of us!

If you don't know what Festivus is, may the aluminum pole have mercy on your soul. To learn more about this tradition and the founder of our faith, Frank Costanza, see Wikipedia.
One of the most important parts of Festivus is the "airing of grievances" which I will now participate in.

Guess who's getting cut after June 1st? You are!

When Mangini came on board, the handwriting was on the wall that the Jets were going to switch to a 3-4. Some of your linemates like Shaun Ellis and Dewayne Robertson have had some struggles changing to the 3-4, but they were used to playing in the 4-3, what's your excuse? Some beat writers have even mentioned that you have played this season like you were "on rollerskates."

The last good thing you did was flop onto Carson Palmer's leg and knock him out of the game. Screw Ben Roethlisberger's tackle last year against the Colts, that was the play that got your team to the SuperBowl.

Certainly, 3-4 linemen get little credit and rack up few stats, but let's take a look at your season: 25 tackles, 1 sack 1 pass defensed. For this you are getting paid $1.9 million this year? The Jets could find three bums off the street and pay them what you make, and they would make more tackles than you.

The good thing about the NFL, is that mistakes like you can be corrected quickly. The Jets have to address the line this offseason, and you will be the one who sees the door in the process. Maybe the Steelers will have you back so you can roll over Carson Palmer's legs again. On the way out, don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Check back for more Airing of Grievances over the next few days.
