The Jets played well and took what the Vikings would give them, which was yards in the air. The Jets needed a win today to keep any chance at making the playoffs alive.

Ups
Chad Pennington - Pennington threw for a career high 339 yards today along with a touchdown. Pennington is also two games away from actually finishing a season with 16 starts under his belt.

Laveranues Coles - Coles was all over the field, and his acrobatic grabs and body contortions to get more yards were the reason the Jets won this game. Until the Jets have a running back that can run for 100 yards consistently, they will rely on Coles to fill his current role.

Justin McCareins - McCareins only made two catches one for fifty yards, but he helped stretch the field for Pennington and his "under" targets.

David Barrett - Barrett's timely interception in the fourth quarter effectively sealed the game for the Jets.

Victor Hobson - More and more, Hobson is fitting into the 3-4 scheme nicely. Hobson racked up eight tackles and one sack (assist to Dewayne Robertson) for setting that up.

Eric Barton - Barton played a physical game and made uberguard Steve Hutchinson look bad. Barton's play helped the Jets shut down the run.

CJ Mosley - Mosley didn't see a lot of time on the field, but he did have a sack where he just kept sledding until he collided into Brad Johnson, helping to slow a Vikings drive.

Downs
Ben Graham - It ended up not mattering, but Graham had trouble getting a snap down for a Nugent field goal. Credit Graham with a heads up attempt to throw the ball. Beyond that one mistake, Graham did have a good game punting.

Shaun Ellis - Down just because his stats didn't reflect the game he played. Ellis did get some pressure on the QB, but he only made one tackle all day.

Kimo Von Oelhoffen - What a shocker, KVO didn't register a single tackle all day.

Leon Washginton - With only three carries for five yards and no catches, Washington was quiet against the Vikings. If the Jets were going to rush the ball today, it was going to be a power variety, and Washington doesn't fit that mold.
