This story just keeps getting better and better. Remember when the Titans' mascot ran over the Saints back-up QB with his golf cart some months ago? Well, Adrian McPherson has sued the Titans for his injury -- to the tune of $5 million in compensatory damages and $15 million in punitive damages. He says that his injury caused him to miss playing for the Saints, as he has been on injured reserve since the drive-by. How are the Titans culpable, you may ask?
It's because the team allowed "its mascot to operate motorized vehicles on the field while players are present."
I do feel bad for McPherson, but, really. $20 mil? That's an awful lot of scratch to pay off a guy whose chances of being a big player in the NFL are about as good as my chances with the newly-single Dreamboat Tom Brady.
I suppose it doesn't stop either one of us from trying, though.
