Feel Confident The Buckeyes Will Win?

Troy SmithIn 2003 the Buckeyes beat Miami to win the national title, and the Columbus Dispatch issue the next day that commemorated the win sold out pretty quickly. I can remember having a hard time finding a copy myself, although I did manage to track one down.

This year Buckeye fans can pre-order copies of the January 9th edition of the Columbus Dispatch to avoid the possible sell out. You can only buy them in groups of ten, and it seems obvious that you'd only put in an order if you were feeling pretty confident in the Buckeyes chances. I can't imagine anyone would want to save a paper recounting a Buckeyes loss in a national title game.

I'm guessing the Dispatch will do pretty brisk business with this pre-order offer, what with the opponent being Florida and all. The vaunted SEC didn't look all that impressive yesterday against Penn State and Wisconsin, and I still can't imagine the Buckeyes having much trouble against the Gators.

I went ahead and put in my order.
