Thanks Titans for a Great Season

As much as I want to scream because Kansas City took what I think should have been the Titans' playoff spot, I also fully accept that a 8-8 season was an impossibly optimistic prediction at the start of the season.

Heck, with the 0-5 start, it looked like the Titans were in for another of those horrible seasons that have plagued them in recent years. But salvation came in the form of a rookie quarterback. I have to be honest, I never thought VY was going to pick up the offense so quickly and improve to a legitimate NFL quarterback so quickly.

His numbers this season put him squarely in the running for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. The award winner will be announced on Wednesday and I'm sure there are people who expect to hear Young's name called for the honor.

The 8-3 record in the latter part of the season really gives the Titans hope for 2007. The carryover effect can only mean that they will be a real force next year. I fully expect the Titans to make it to the playoffs in 2007. And I don't think they'll crash and burn in the first round, either.

So, all in all, playing on the last day of the season with the possibility of making the playoffs was a pie in the sky dream that really did come true.

By the way, I hate The Dreamboat™ now and for always. Stupid Patriot ruiners
