I am so proud of Vince Young, who received the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award today. And he ran away with it. He got 23 of 50 votes, easily beating New Orleans' Marques Colston and Jacksonville's Maurice Drew, who only had nine votes each.
Young follows in the vaunted footsteps of Earl Campbell and Eddie George in the Houston/Nashville franchise to win this award.
Young is the first rookie in the Modern (Superbowl) Era to rush for more than 500 yards and in some ways is redefining exactly what we can expect from a rookie QB.
I'll admit, I, for one, didn't expect much of anything of substance from his this year and am pretty sure the Titans offensive coaches made all the difference with how quickly he moved along.
Please, Dear Jesus, hear my prayer and keep Norm Chow in Nashville. Thank you.
