We'll Miss You Tiki: Giants 20 - Eagles 23

I am not really sure what people expect me to say. I remained optimistic about this team all week and they played hard like I thought they would. In the end the Eagles just played better and there is no reason to be ashamed about that. The Giants battled their rivals as good as they could and while they squandered some opportunities, so did the Eagles. It's a vicious cycle and any "would be," "could be," "should be" argument are pointless. I despise the Eagles as much as the next person and have bled Giants blue my entire life but in the end you have to tip your cap and give it to the Eagles. They played their asses off and I wish them luck next week.

It was an emotional year and it ended just as emotionally. It's a sad end to the fantastic career of Tiki Barber. He played a great game in his finale and he will most certainly be missed. It's a shame he had to go out on the losing end but not everyone can ride out in the sunset.

It will also spell the final games for Ernie Accorsi, Tom Coughlin and Tim Lewis. It's the end of a short era and there many changes ahead. As Giants fans we all have a lot to look forward to and a long off-season to think about what would have been.

I would like to credit Eli Manning who really stood in there at the end and gave it everything he had. The same applies to Jeremy Shockey who played hurt and did everything in his power to win. It's performances like that they make me proud to be a Giants fan.

Giants fans, don't get down on yourself. It was a bad year but the Giants played hard today. There is nothing to be ashamed of. I will hold my head high tomorrow as I wear my Giants jersey proudly. Eagles fans, congratulations. I know I ran my mouth all week and that's the fun of the game but your team played well and they deserved to win.
