Why hasn't more been made of this? After yesterday's Patriots-Jets game, Bill Belichick battered a photojournalist -- an innocent person who was just doing his job -- in front of tens of millions of people on national television, and to the extent it's been mentioned at all, it's generally been mentioned in passing or cheered on.

It took place just after the game ended. A crowd of photographers surrounded both Belichick and Jets coach Eric Mangini, hoping to get the perfect shot of their post-game handshake. Belichick didn't like the fact that one photographer was standing in his way, so he shoved him aside.

How is this acceptable? The NFL decides to give certain people access to the field. Those people have just as much right to be there as Belichick does. They're doing their jobs, just like Belichick was. If they're in Belichick's way when he wants to hug Mangini, he can either patiently wait for them to move, or he can wait until some other time and some other place to hug Mangini. He has no right to shove a cameraman.

When Kenny Rogers assaulted a TV cameraman, he was suspended 20 games and fined $50,000. When Sean Penn assaulted a photographer, he spent 32 days in jail. What will happen to Belichick?
