Josh Shipp will miss Saturday's game against cross-town rival USC. The Bruins' No. 2 scorer had an ultra-sound down on his hamstring, revealing a small tear. Trojans fans and administrators were quite happy to hear the news. Not so much because what Shipp means on the court. But that means one more spectator in the never-filled Galen Center. Although USC fans are actually expected to show up for this game. Even with an early morning start. (Do they expect USC fans to just show up after partying all night at The Standard?)Attendance at the brand-new building has been less than expected this season. But much like Cal State Fullerton fans, they just don't want to show up to support a winner. And that's so not LA.
