That happened Sunday in the Heat/Blazers game in Portland, and I find it disgusting. That's more than disgusting, that's a crime against basketball.
And it's not that I care tremendously about the outcome of the game (the Blazers won anyway), and if it was any other player, I probably wouldn't even mention it. But after last year's Finals, and Dwyane Wade's chosen offensive strategy of "dribble towards the basket, fall down, get a whistle, get up and look tough," this call ... yeah, this call bothers me.
I loathe to bitch about officiating. Bad calls happen. I get that, and I don't mind, because never has the world seen anyone who was perfect at their job. But bad calls seem to happen around some players more than others, and fairly or not, it makes me hate that player.
