Each week we'll look at the players who would have the best shot at the Naismith award if the season ended right now.

1. Kevin Durant, Texas: Another night, another 26-point, 15-board effort in a win over Nebraska.

2. Nick Fazekas, forward, Nevada: We don't hear enough about how good Fazekas is from the foul line: He's shooting 86%, ranking 43rd in the country. Big guys who can hit the free throws like that are just about impossible to stop.

3. Alando Tucker, forward, Wisconsin: He scored 16 in an easy win over Michigan.

4. Aaron Brooks, guard, Oregon: Despite Brooks's recent suspension, Jay Bilas has me convinced that he belongs on the list. Brooks is the Pac-10's best player and getting closer to becoming the best in the country.

5. Glen Davis, forward, LSU: He slips on the list after Vanderbilt held him to 12 points in a 64-53 upset.
