Before reporters were able to pepper McNabb with questions, he set the record straight.
"The so-called rumors are false," the quarterback said, appearing at a Chunky's Soup news conference. "I'm a Philadelphia Eagle and will continue to be a Philadelphia Eagle for years to come. And, hopefully, to retire as an Eagle.

"I do not want to be traded. I plan on getting myself back healthy to be ready for the opening of the season, to start and to be ready to go."
Donovan McNabb isn't going anywhere. I feel slightly guilty for fueling a bit of the McNabb to Detroit fire yesterday over at The 700 Level. The whole thing started with one random writer in Ann Arbor thinking, "Gee, wouldn't it be awesome if Detroit could get McNabb!" I picked up the story and said I thought it would be a horrible idea and made light of the idea of Brady Quinn QBing in Philly. On my drive to work this morning I even heard sports radio in Philadelphia reporting the "rumor." I'm glad that's all over with.

McNabb said there was no feud with Jeff Garcia. He touched on the fact that every injured player was disappointed they couldn't travel to New Orleans for the big playoff game, not just Donovan. He downplayed Reid "shutting down" his press conference last week. As usual, Donovan McNabb was all class. There is no controversy. When Donovan is healthy, he is the Eagles QB.

The Eagles official website is all over McNabb in Miami with links to audio, transcripts, and video of McNabb's press conference as well as interviews on the NFL Network, Sirius, and ESPN.
