Charles Barkley Had a Productive Weekend

Charles Barkley is probably one of the happier gentlemen in the world today. You could probably say that about Charles Barkley every day, being that he works one day a week, is loaded, and knows how to have a good time. But still, raking in $700,000 in a weekend with put a little bit of extra gleam in a man's smile.

Sir Charles spent the weekend in Vegas (where they should probably just make him mayor), bet on the Super Bowl, and played a lot of blackjack ... the net result was $700,000 in profit. The only other people who made that much this weekend were Peyton Manning and Prince.

Of course, $100,000 of it probably went right back into the Vegas economy, by way of strippers' garter belts. And that's good ... it's good to give back to the community. Barkley estimates that through the years, he's lost about $10 million gambling, and of course, this doesn't nearly offset that kind of loss ... but not much else in the world matters when you're up $700,000 at a blackjack table.
