Here's How Indiana Class Stacks Up
Here's the deal. In 2003 IU had the nation's No. 59 ranked class. It was No. 59 in 2004, No. 72 in 2005 and No. 84 in 2006.
Some of that, of course, reflected coach Terry Hoeppner's predecessor, Gerry DiNardo. He was fired in December of 2004.
This year, the Hoosiers are projected to have the No. 57 class, No. 9 in the Big Ten. Yes, that doesn't likely won't rock anybody's world, but these players project to fill the programs needs. And if Hoeppner and his staff have done their jobs in terms of evaluating, if they now follow that up with good player development, they might have enough to earn that much anticipated bowl bid.
