In the wake of a chaotic signing day featuring unsupported accusations of cheating, revelations of jackass text messages, harassment of uninterested recruits, negative recruiting galore, accidental admissions of recruiting violations and narrowly averted instances of same, Myles Brand is pissed... at something. He's formed a "task force" to review recruiting practices. In specific:
"Given the information that is coming to light on some recruiting practices, I am taking immediate action to address the issue," Brand said. "Some of what has been alleged is morally reprehensible and has no place in college sports."
And by "specific" we mean "not specific." "Morally reprehensible" probably eliminates the Joe McKnight thing, which is a minor violation of a stupid rule, but douchy text messages to Arrelious Benn, cheatin' and stuff on the part of Illinois, and Florida telling Terrance Toliver that LSU would actually decrease his understanding of English all fall under that term's broad purview.

Though no specifics are mentioned, Brand is clearly talking tough. An easy suggestion, Myles: get rid of the idea of "signing day" altogether.
