Today, Chris Mullin, Phil Jackson, Dick Vitale and 12 others were named as finalists for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Jackson is an obvious shoo-in, and Vitale--despite the fact that you have to put the TV on mute when he's calling games from time to time--should get in with no problem. Mullin, though, is a bit of a tough decision.

Through 16 seasons, Mullin scored about 18 points, grabbed 4 boards and handed out 3 assists per night. Those aren't mind-boggling numbers. He also never won a title, but did play on some good teams in Golden State (Run TMC being a personal favorite) and Indiana. I'm here to tell you that none of the above should matter. Chris Mullin should be a Hall of Famer for one reason, and one reason alone.

The Chris Mullin Show. 'Nuff said.
