Wisconsin's Three-Pointers Lead to Year's Biggest Win

We've said before that Wisconsin is nearly unstoppable if it can hit from beyond the arc, and the Badgers showed that again on Saturday, knocking down 12 three-pointers in a 75-49 win over Penn State that was the biggest margin of victory all season for Wisconsin.

Kammron Taylor went 4-for-6 from three, while Alando Tucker went 3-for-6. Through their first four Big Ten games, Wisconsin ranked dead last in the Big Ten in three-point percentage, but they've now moved all the way up to fifth. I still say Tucker needs to drive more and pull up less, but if he's starting to add three-pointers to his arsenal, he's going to be scary.

Coach Bo Ryan said the three was the key to opening up the offense against the Nittany Lions.

"Once we stretched them, then we got probably eight of those 20 assists in that (second-half) stretch where our bigs were touching it, bouncing it and hitting the opposite block and getting power moves and layups," Ryan said. "That was all because we were hitting the three."

Wisconsin's last three games consist of a visit to Ohio State sandwiched between two games against Michigan State, so nothing is going to come easy. But this team has a very good chance at reaching a No. 1 seed, especially if it keeps hitting from downtown.
