Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark seems like a relatively quiet, mild-mannered guy. Sure, there was that time when he got angry about his portrayal in a Madden commercial, but I could understand how he felt about seeing a virtual version of himself getting jacked up. Aside from that, Clark has never caused a fuss.Until now. Clark was kicked out of a high school girls' basketball game in his native Iowa on Saturday.
Clark, a Livermore native and former Iowa football player, was asked to leave the gymnasium late in the third quarter of the district final game between Twin River Valley of Bode, where Clark attended high school, and Southeast Webster-Grand of Burnside in Burnside, two school officials said Monday. This doesn't seem like a major incident, just a strange one. He gets so riled up watching his alma mater's girls' basketball team that he can't keep his emotions in check? I'd hate to see how he'd feel if he saw himself taking a charge in a WNBA video game.
"I have seen other parents behave a lot worse, but he apparently got into one of the officials' ear," said Kirk Gilson, the athletic director at Southeast Webster-Grand. "I really don't know what led up to it, but apparently one of the referees didn't like what he heard from him."
