When you're the Super Bowl MVP, everybody wants you to do stuff.

On Wednesday at the Colts' NFL Championship DVD release party in Indianapolis -- click here for the video -- Peyton Manning told reporters that he had to turn down tons of offers and appearances since winning the Super Bowl, but he did accept one. He's going to host Saturday Night Live on March 24.

"I figured this is my one shot to be asked," Manning told reporters. "The only thing I do well live is play football."

Which makes you wonder just how many takes those MasterCard and Sprint commercials required...

For the record, I looked high and low for a video of Joe Montana's infamous Sincere Guy Stu sketch, but it's been scrubbed off YouTube like everything else SNL. Regardless, I don't think we'll see a sequel to that one.
