Rockies New Eastern Motors Spokesmen

By now you know how highly I think of the Rockies, you know, with six straight seasons being under .500 by at least ten games and all, but even I was impressed when I saw that the Rockies were trying to step up their marketing efforts

Coming soon to a TV near you: High-quality, well-produced - and hopefully humorous - commercials promoting the Rockies' 2007 season. It's the first TV advertising campaign by the Rockies since 1993, their inaugural season. "I can't give away the plots, but I think they are hilarious," said Jay Alves, Rockies vice president of communications.

That's impressive Colorado, gotta do something to attract the fans. But by calling them hilarious means you'll have a lot to live up to -- and certainly when it comes to athletes appearing in commercials -- you are measured by the standards set by the Eastern Motors series. Witness pure genius:

Anytime I have the opportunity to mix in an Eastern Motors commercial, you better believe I'm going to do it.
