Add Tennessee to the list of SEC East teams to have a player busted for drinking this spring. Coach Phillip Fulmer suspended All-SEC freshman team center Josh McNeil after McNeil was cited for underage consumption and public intoxication early Sunday morning. McNeil has been suspended for five spring practice sessions, will have to perform community service, attend alcohol awareness classes and be subject to more "internal punishment," according to Fulmer. In addition, Fulmer said McNeil will not be allowed to leave campus for spring break next week, which is a perfect example of the punishment fitting the crime (seriously, you know what he was going to do on spring break, right?).
McNeil is the latest in a string of SEC East football players cited or arrested for alcohol use this spring, see also: South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia, Georgia LB Akeem Hebron.
