Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that a source close to the Raiders told him that the Raiders aren't actively shopping Randy Moss but are open to the idea:Though the Raiders have not initiated any calls to move him, Oakland has listened to offers for Moss. The Raiders are open to the idea of trading Moss, according to a source close to Oakland. Here's why I don't think it'll happen: Moss is 30 years old. Last year he had career lows in catches, yards and touchdowns. His average output for the last three seasons is 50 catches for 775 yards and eight touchdowns. Those aren't exactly all-pro numbers. And yet Moss is still paid like an all-pro. For a team to be willing to take Moss on, they'd have to first get him to agree to lower his salary, and there is no indication that Moss would be open to that.
Teams that have shown interest, according to the source, are the New England Patriots, the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Could Moss help the offense in Tampa Bay, New England or Green Bay? Sure. But he could also cause some serious salary cap problems and some serious locker room problems. What makes anyone think he's worth it?
