The Big Unit took a serious step in his road to recovery from off-season back surgery, throwing 52 pitches in batting practice to Arizona prospects on Saturday. How'd the little man describe the experience? Let's just say he was pretty "pleased."

"I'm pleased with where I'm at right now, as I have been with every step...To not have any real setbacks other than maybe a stiff back here and there, I think that's to be expected, especially with the workload I've been doing this quickly. I'm pretty pleased."

The Unit has some high expectations, saying he'd like to be ready for opening day. Of course I'd like to be Jessica Simpson's pink bikini in Dukes of Hazzard, but that's just not in the cards now is it?

Lets see, Johnson threw more pitches than expected in batting practice, has aspirations of pitching in an exhibition game, and hopes to be ready for opening day. I think it's safe to say the man's on a mission.
