I guess when you consider yourself a serious threat to win the division, you must take all precautions as to not divulge any secrets about your team. Such is the notion in the Arizona Diamondbacks spring training camp, where starter Livan Hernandez threw a simulated game instead of facing the division foe Rockies."Obviously I'm not scared of them," said Hernandez, who is likely to face the Rockies in the second game of the regular season April 3. "You don't want to face them too many times."I'm not sure if GM Josh Byrnes, manager Bob Melvin, or Livan himself was behind this, but after 2,166 innings over 317 career starts, it's safe to say the Rox will be getting their first look at Livan in April.
Like I said, when there's a potential division crown at-stake, and shoot, while we're at it, a potential World Series title on the line, you can never be TOO careful.
